This is a great place to train. I'm 49 yrs old and started training with my teenage sons in six months ago. We love coming to Alliance BJJ. The owners / coaches are excellent as well as the other adults that train. Egos do NOT dominate this gym. The upper belts have always been very willing to help with technique and keep the sparring playful. At my age, I was concerned about getting injured. I've had my share of bruises but the fundamentals classes for the white belts are structured in a way that focus on technique with minimum sparring (specific training) until the person is ready and I've remained injury free as I've slowly picked up the pace.
If you've ever considered training Jiu Jitsu, come to Alliance BJJ. You won't find a better place to train and to learn.

I checked out a few other gyms for BJJ and ended up here at Alliance BJJ. It’s been a very welcoming environment! All the staff is very friendly. I don’t see a lot of egos. People there are respectful and there to learn. It’s been a great experience!

It was probably the best decision to sign up with Evolucao. I was intimidated before I signed up because I’m a completely beginner, I was surprised that it’s a beginner friendly environment, and the community is very supportive. In addition, the staffs take time to explain the techniques to you, you won’t feel neglected in the group class.
I highly recommend it to anyone who want to try MMA.

Amazing for my kids, 8 and 13! The curriculum is organized to cover all the fundamentals and build a strong skill foundation for beginners, so I can see measured improvement in both of them. The black belt instructors are SO great at making it fun while providing wisdom and teaching discipline/respect. Love this place!
